Finally, My Thursday BlogHer ’11 Highlights

I’ve been promising to talk about my favorite BlogHer parties for almost two weeks now.  I have too much to say about each night’s parties so I’m splitting the days up. Here we go.

I had no idea what to expect.  I was told to keep my eye out for fun parties with lots of swag.  In the weeks leading up to BlogHer, between my roommates and Diana, I was practically glued to my phone and computer, trying to stay on top of all the events I wouldn’t want to miss.

I went to two unofficial/private parties the first night Haute Green Social Hour and The Big Toy Book’s Sweet Suite Event.  Best parties and swag ever.

The Haute Green Social Hour was by far my favorite party.  I met lots of like minded bloggers at a very nice and relaxing bar patio.  Everyone was so friendly!  There, I was thrilled to meet Calley from The Eco Chic, BA from Heir to Blair, Dagmar from Dagmar’s Momsense,  Morgan from The 818, and many others.

Towards the end of the social hour, there were door prizes, where I walked away with a Coral Smart Mom Teething Bling Penant and Bangle.  Then, on top of that, everyone received goody bags filled with FOUR amazing pocket/snap-in diapers with inserts, one of the new (awesome) Thirsties wraps with snaps, a variety of eco friendly laundry detergents including Rockin’ Green, mom reusable pads, diaper cream, and coupons for just about every kind of eco friendly baby/mom product you can imagine.  I missed a few things and I will be dedicating another post to the products I specifically loved next week and hopefully do my first review and giveaway soon too!

In the mean time, a great place to shop for these products and more is Kelly’s Closet.  Click here to visit Kelly’s Closet

I could have stopped with just that one party.  Thank you so much, The Eco Chic & Friends (Calley, Kelly, Kim, Katie, Julie, and Julia)!  I’m in heaven.

Of course, I’m glad I didn’t stop there.  The Big Toy Sweet Suite event was enchanting.  Chocolate galore everywhere I looked and a Pinkberry frozen yogurt table.  So many toys to look at and test out, a child would have gone into overload.  Then, as if that wasn’t enough, the goody bags they handed out were large gift bags, completely stuffed (to the point the woman who handed me mine was a little nervous that the handle might not support it all).

My favorite part?  Each bag had one of three character books with a stuffed character to go along with it.  I got Otis the tractor.  So unbelievably adorable.

So that’s it.  I am not trying to brag.  Just trying to spotlight the sponsors of these two amazing parties.  On top of the inspiring seminars, my primary reason for going to BlogHer ’11, the parties were an awesome bonus.
